Last night I finished the 12th and final episode of Deadwood's first season. I understand they move forward a year for the next season; I'm wondering where it'll go. Lots of stuff happened in the first season that I didn't see coming:
It is of note that Warren Ellis has released a snippet of script for Ignition City, where he does for Flash Gordon what Deadwood does to Roy Rogers.
- Wild Bill Hickok sudden passing
- Calamity Jane's departure from the camp
- Al Swearengen committing a clear act of mercy (good god, I thought I might cry at Doc's prayers)
- Seth Bullock -- Well, basically anything Seth does in the last episode; clearly losing his shit and beating a man near-to-death, setting the same man up to be finished off by Seth's archenemeses, sleeping with a woman that isn't his wife -- has Seth snapped?
