I got a Creative Labs Zen and I've been thrilled with it.

I hate proprietary platforms. And Apple doesn't just promote its proprietary systems and software, it revels in them. Blah. It's not quite as bad as it used to be, but their elite-hipster attitude has always left a bad taste in my mouth.
