crap!

I forgot to look for a copy of Sid Meier's Pirates! for PSP while I was in the USA. Though I have to say all the GameStops and Targets I visited were pretty well picked bare when I was in them. They didn't even have GTA: Vice City Stories for PSP, though the game has been out for a while and still very popular... Still. CRAP!

I can certainly get one for you if you want. You just say the word!

Well, that was actually me on the above comment. I'm a little schizo this morning and now I'm making things worse by responding to my own comments.

Hah. I did that yesterday once as well. It feels dumb, even though it's pretty easy to not notice you've been logged out. LJ's UI could be a little more clear on that point.

Aren't you saving money for A Big Event later on this year? Or do you have an unneeded copy of one or the other of those two games?

there are probably only like 20k copies of any given random PSP game, sadly. so buy if you want! that's why the internets were invented.

i wonder if half.com and ebay sellers would send you crap in japan? seems worth investigating.

I'm pretty sure there are heaps of GTA:LCS around in the world, but I'm hard pressed to figure out why they're ALL out of stock at once... except that it was Christmas. Though are USED copies of games acceptable as formal gifts? I'd say "no" but I /was/ in GameStop, not exactly a bastion of proper behavior.

Half.com doesn't accept credit cards from Japan, and doesn't ship outside the USA last time I checked. Amazon Z-Shops are able to ship to Japan, but the shipping rates are a freaking joke; and that's on DVDs and books; games are not shipped internationally through any Amazon entity, because they have NO SPINE.

Ebay sellers are per-auction, and again are usually outrageous in their international terms.

Thanks for the suggestions.
