a storm is brewing
Jul. 31st, 2004 01:00 amTyphoon #double-digit-something is passing through the area. We're not getting any rain, but the wind is so high that it's whipping stuff all over. Though it's hot, we're only able to open the vents that are about 1/16th of the surface of the window. Anything more has been yanking pictures and paper from the walls. Just having the vents open is causing a roar that's equivalent to driving 100km/hr with the windows partially opened. It's wild.
Went out with a friend from work tonight, and smashed down a lot of good food and a not-bad bottle of junmaiginjou nihonshuu. It's fun going out and talking work, but I had trouble keeping with one language for the evening. If I can stick with English OR Japanese, anything goes. If I have to hop back and forth between the two my enthusiasm wanes proportionate to the number of switches. There was a lot of switching tonight. So tired...
