From the top NYT articles email, I misread:
2) Huge Cache of Explosives Vanished From Site in Iraq
By JAMES GLANZ, WILLIAM J. BROAD and DAVID E. SANGER
Published: October 25, 2004

as: Explosive Cache of Hugs Vanished From Site in Iraq -- which is likely also true.

In attempting to research various work-related matters, I have discovered to my dismay that the US Army is broadcasting Macromedia Flash versions of (what I assume to be) their TV ads -- full motion video jobbies with sound that plays AUTOMATICALLY and cannot be turned off -- in adspace on gigex.com-hosted sites. They are smarmy, fake-feel-goody snippets that involve a dad bonding with his son, who is considering what must be one of the worst risk-versus-benefit careers available today. Hearing it once was unnerving and annoying. Hearing it several time is causing me to want a Less Lethal Weapon to use against their PR firm -- preferably something involving soundwaves and the savage loosening of their bowels.

If I turn off the individual WAVE volume in my sound panel, I can't listen to music. If I uninstall Flash/Shockwave, I'll have to reinstall it for something else, later. Suggestions?
