BIOSHOCKED
Jan. 29th, 2008 08:09 pmI played Bioshock last night; I'm only about an hour in, and I'm going pretty slow -- still in the Medical Pavilion, looking for my 2nd plasmid. Last night I entered a room when the enemy turned out the lights and a series of filthy, psychotic, knife-wielding nurses charged at me from the shadows; at which point, alone in the dark, retreating and wildly disoriented, I realized my recently acquired shotgun wasn't fully loaded. And also, I learned that when I panic, I'll fire half-loaded guns into the ceiling and walls rather than, you know, the health-professionals who are currently "addressing my needs" through "alternative health procedures."
Shortly after that I quit out to play some Settlers of Catan on Easy, so I could lower my adrenaline levels before trying to sleep. Good old Settlers! You'll never surprise me by sending in objects which have been engineered to terrify me from the ground up! Me wuvs you! *smeck!*
