BIOSHOCKER'D
Mar. 10th, 2008 07:40 pmI finished a 2nd run-through of Bioshock last night, gaining the "Seriously Good at This" and "Brass Balls" Achievements for finishing the game on hard with the Vita-Chambers turned off. I felt a brief surge of accomplishment before realizing that the game holds nearly no replay value, now that I've got all 1100 points of Achievements. The enemies were in exactly the same spot as my first run-through, had no change in AI tactics, and only had beefed up hitpoints.
The game is exceptional, but beating it on Hard difficulty was no more difficult than saving so often that the immersion was broken. So... I guess I only have myself to blame for tarnishing my final experience with the game, rather than leaving it at a very enjoyable one-time run-through.
