Obama to leave campaign trail to visit ailing grandmother - CNN.com:
(CNN) -- Sen. Barack Obama will take a break from campaigning Thursday so he can visit his ailing grandmother in Hawaii, an Obama spokesman said Monday.
Part of me is waiting for McCain to get nasty and churlish and start talking in a snide voice, "(presidents need to) deal with more than one thing at once." That'd be great. I'd love to see how well it goes over with the voters to make fun of someone for taking time to look after a sick relative.

There's a really childish part of my head which wants to call my incessantly Republican uncle, who is himself a lobbyist for a trucking organization, and say "Dude. Get ready to lose."

I know how you feel. Every time I get emails from my very hard-core right wing Dad (he's sending me mails about Palin now), I want to just write him back and say "You folks made your own bed. Prepare to lie in it." Maybe I'll just send him a link to the Powell endorsement of Obama.

If you see any headlines like "Colorado man invents way to slap son remotely over internet" you can sleep soundly that night knowing that you know an internet celebrity.

I still keep seeing stuff on undecided voters and voices in my head start screaming "WHYYYYYYY WHYYYYY??" How can they be undecided??? And how can THEY be the ones that thus decide this election? I know Obama is ahead but once again I'm stating that I don't underestimate the stupidity of the people that elected Bush.

At least the voices in my head agree on something, for once.

I suspect there are less undecided peeps with each passing day, and perhaps with each word that escapes Palin's flapping jaw.

I dunno, if you weren't disgusted from the beginning I'm not sure what'd turn you, you know? The only thing I truely think is turning people at this point is how negative McCain's campaign has been going-- not just negative, but negative and ridiculous and bigoted. I do think that is turning people off.

Incidentally, have you been reading Free Republic? According to them, Obama's trip to visit his grandmother was part of his effort to shut her up and, thus, ensure that no one knows... something. That he's not an American citizen, that he's a Muslim, that he killed a man in Reno just to watch him die.

Yes, Obama (or, as I like to call him, "B. Hussein Obama II") went on a kill mission to put down his own granny because he's a sociopath. Yes. That must be it.

The rationalization and creative ability of people who want to believe something never ceases to amaze. The fact that they're willing to PRINT those delusions is scary enough an act of desperation, but that there may be folks out there who believe it is even more frightening.
