After the last eight years it's the only thing we have left to give.

After the last eight years, it's one of the best things we have to give. Hope, optimism, and the desire to apply them. I am amazed at how much we still hope to achieve after the damage wrought over the last eight years.

And I'm saddened that 48 percent of the population voted largely out of fear of change. Possibly the same kind of personality that would have stayed on board the Titanic.

Read a funny description about this on a forum today. Poster was responding to people who were irritated by all the inauguration news.
