My family, probably like most of your guys' families, are fond of forwarding chain emails to me. I used to ask them to stop, but they never understood why, and I finally just chose to not care about them. I rarely get pissed off at chain emails anymore, but this really irked me:

  Don't accept the new dollar 

Please help do this... refuse to accept these when they are handed back to you.  I received one from the Post Office as change and I  asked for a  dollar bill instead..the lady just smiled and said way to go, so she had  read this e-mail...please help out.

If  ever there was a reason to boycott something, THIS IS IT!!!!  

DO  NOT ACCEPT THE NEW DOLLAR COINS AS CHANGE

Oh, it's not gone. It has just moved to a less obtrusive place: the rim, along with the date, mint mark, and the proper motto "E Pluribus Unum". It will take an act of Congress, likely a uselessly overblown one, to remove "In God We Trust" because it is now in the Mint charter.

This is a little known fact, but Canadian dollar coins? We took out all mention of anything on the old bills, and it now reads:

"OH HAI! FU JESUS! CANADIA IZ 4 SATAN! LOLWTFBBQ?!?!?!"

This mail was followed days later by a "This is a FAKE AMBER ALERT" outraged mail asking "how many real Amber Alerts" presumably the Terror Alert color "will be ignored because of this email?" And of course:

(a) It's fake. http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/missing/ashleyflores.asp

(b) I don't believe we have dropped BELOW AMBER since the fucking Terror Alert system was established. We are supposed to be on constant alert? That's just nonsense; it undermines the value of having a "heightened awareness" system in place, and reveals it for what it is: a tool for keeping people frightened.

Yeah, I usually do that as well. It's marginally more friendly than "YOU STUPID FUCKING JACKASSES! HOW IS IT WE SHARE ANY GENETIC CODE AT ALL?!"
